Trip to Bletchley.

At Bletchley Park we learnt about the important role of code breakers during the Second World War. We saw the Enigma machine and learnt about the work of the famous mathematician, Alan Turing. We also had a go at code breaking to help stop ships sinking in the Atlantic Ocean. Many lives were solved by the important work of the codebreakers.

Make do and Mend.

As part of our Second World War topic we worked on a make do and mend project which entailed us taking an old piece of clothing and turning it into something new. Our parents came in and helped us with our sewing skills.
