We have had a very successful and productive term this Autumn. The staff and the children have worked very hard and the quality and standard of the children’s work has been very high.
The children have been very positive about their learning and have enjoyed the topics and learning that has been prepared for them. They have been especially enthusiastic about the Christmas productions and the feedback we have had from the parents have been positive about all three shows.
The Christmas raffle raised a total of £333.55 and this money will be put towards buying new resources for the classrooms.
Our Christmas Jumper day was a great success and the children enjoyed participating in this event. It was lovely to see both the variety of jumpers and creativity shown in the children who decorated their own jumpers. I was also pleased to receive so many e-mails and visitors to the office who were completely supportive of this event. £129.00 was raised for this charity.
The jumble jars were very successful and raised £56.00. This money is to be sent to the Herts Young Homeless Charity.
Can I please ask parents to make sure their child’s name is in all items of clothing. Children need to understand that they are responsible for their jumpers and PE kits in school and if they are named it is much easier for them to do this. Most days we have children looking for lost items of clothing and parents trying to find them.
I would like to join the staff in wishing you all a happy Christmas break and look forward to see all the children in the New Year.
